Fancy Shmancy.
I’ve started blogs before but it’s kind of fallen off the grid. The last one I had also associated too much with my previous main WoW toon Belltrine. She has swapped places with my paladin, now named Belladrin. Her name until a few months ago was Lothynndra, and many people have asked why I did that…it was more than just a ‘fresh start with a new main’; which is what I told most people when they asked.
What others don’t know and I’m willing now to share is that just prior to that decision I got a tell in game out of the blue from my old guild leader. He asked if I had talked to my ex recently as apparently he had ninja-gquit the week before. I told him no. And that’s the truth, I did not see or hear from him since he suddenly stopped talking to me after an abrupt breakup. Seems me simply asking when we could do something together was ‘too much drama’ and he freaked out at me and said he was tired of it. Originally I fought it, but then found out the reason he got so defensive was he was cheating on me. I think now I shouldn’t have been so surprised but then I just got angry. I spent $1500 in RL going to see him TWICE (he never came to see me) and upwards of 2k gold and hours and hours of game time doing things for him.
Somewhat concerned he might try to contact me (just had a *feeling*) I made the decision to change my name; and also now both my toons can be referred to as ‘Bell’. And well, you can see why I have no interest in ever talking to him or seeing him again, albeit for maybe the chance to kick him in his cowardly balls. I was in Arathi Basin when he broke up with me, for fuck’s sake. What a waste of a year of my life.
I started this as a WoW blog and post but turned into RLish there, heh. I guess that’s because that’s how that relationship went.
Now that that’s over with (it WAS a year ago) and out in the open; I can get on with other things! My guild/raiding charter is progressed through Ulduar, and nearly unlocked Algalon (who will be the death of my video card, I know it). We cleared the new Trial of the Crusader (10 and 25 mans) boss last week, and hope to do so for the new one this week. More on that post-raid (which is tonight).
